The working day

See visit status while a manager can still respond

Caira brings scheduled, in-progress, late and completed visit context into an operational view so attention can go where it is needed.

Coverage in context

Connect planned visits with the team around them

Rota coverage, staff readiness and branch responsibility sit together so a gap can be understood before a decision is made.

Follow-up

Make safety attention an operational action

Welfare and safety concerns can become visible follow-up rather than disappearing into messages, memory or disconnected spreadsheets.

A practical evaluation guide

Look beyond the visit-status screen

A visit-management demonstration should explain what a status means, where it came from and what the team can do next. That is more informative than a dashboard containing only completed visits.

Ask how each status is established

A scheduled visit, a recorded start and a completed note are different pieces of information. Ask which event changes each status, when the screen last refreshed and whether the time shown is planned, recorded or received by the system.

Include an example that arrives late and one that needs correction. Check whether the reader can distinguish missing information from a confirmed event. A coloured indicator alone does not prove attendance or an outcome.

Follow an attention item between colleagues

Use a fictional scheduling exception and ask one colleague to acknowledge it before handing it to another. Look for a distinction between noticing an item, taking responsibility and recording the follow-up.

Ask what happens when the first colleague finishes their shift. Where does the next person find the context and remaining work? Identify any separate communication your team would still need.

Test a day that differs from the plan

Prepare scenarios involving a changed allocation, a corrected time, an incomplete note and an unavailable device. Ask which are handled within the workflow and which require another process.

NICE's home-care guidance discusses day-to-day care records and arrangements for missed or late visits. Use current guidance and provider procedures to define requirements; a software demonstration is not an emergency-response exercise.

Identify the connections you depend on

List the hand-offs to rostering, record review or finance that matter to your service. Ask how information reaches each destination and whether that involves a working integration, an export or manual entry.

For a Caira discussion, bring one visit-management question and the roles who need the answer. This keeps the conversation focused on the workflow that still needs to be demonstrated.
